About the La Salle Computer Society

In the year 1986, two organizations, Computer Science Society and Micro Users Group, united to form one of De La Salle University's most notable organizations. The merging of the two groups brought forth La Salle Computer Society (LSCS), the only student computer organization in the College of Computer Studies.

Since its year of existence, LSCS has been striving to develop its members to become competent and well-rounded Lasallians who are aware of the numerous advances in their chosen field and its implementation in the industry. It also strives to support their members in their academic workload and serve as a liaison between the faculty and the students.

The organization holds various on-campus activities such as programming language seminars, tutorials, fund-raising programs, bazaars, and thesis exhibits, to name a few. Off-campus activities are also held such as outreach programs, exchange student programs with CS students from other universities within the country, and career talks of company visits for graduating students aspiring to be computer professionals.
